Thankful

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Since Avery's 1st birthday is a few days before Christmas, Heath and Erin brought some of her gifts for her to enjoy. I also totally caved and gave her my b-day gifts also (and of course the just-because-gifts).

Avery has proven to be a little ham...

... a little doll...

... a giggler...

... a walker (ok, maybe just a pusher for now)...

... a musician...
and certainly many more wonderful things each and every day. We all see things in the little ones in our lives, and maybe it's just the hope talking, but Avery sure seems like she's tearing into this world and has big plans in place.

We went to the ICE! exhibit at the Opryland theater. There were rooms full of hand-sculpted, larger than life Charlie Brown characters. We all wore coats, but when we arrived, they were handing out large blue jackets.... they strongly advised we take one. Let me just say, I'd forgotten how cold Wisconsin gets in the winter. It was around 6 degrees in there and we were freezing! Avery was a total trooper until her parents decided to go down the slide. She suddenly realized she was left in the freezing cold with her aunt and grandma and room full of large people who weren't moving... smart girl.

We sped through pretty quickly but I got a few shots of the many ice scenes.

Who's the blue monster?
